Coquille Restaurant, a sister restaurant of L’Abattoir, took over the corner of the Secret Location Restaurant and opened its door in 2018. Located at the heart of Gastown, Coquille focuses on quintessential seafood and shellfish dishes. This year, it joins the Dine Out Vancouver and offers an extensive menu for locals and visitors to try. And recently, I won a giveaway of $100 gift card for Coquille from Tourism Vancouver. Therefore, we decided to visit this restaurant to enjoy our first ever dine out of the year.

The ninth annual Vancouver Christmas Market is officially opened, until December 24. This year I got a chance to attend its media preview, and I was amazed by all the new attractions. And of course, I also did some digging and tasting to compile a list of best food stalls and new attractions in this German-themed holiday market.
It has been awhile since my last visit. I remembered coming here a year ago, when it first opened. Today, I revisited this cafe, because I won a $25 gift card at a giveaway from Quantum Coffee. However, this would not change my honest review about this cafe. When I first came here one year ago, I loved the vibe and how spacious and bright this place it. More importantly, it had a lot of space for customers to work and study. Unfortunately, this recent visit was disappointing. Everything changed.
